Neverlearn

True to form, and following previous patterns, I’ve gone from ‘no cycling’ to ‘full-on cycling’ far too quickly and buggered myself up as a result. After the rain stopped falling at lunchtime today it got out really quite nicely, so I decided to do the senseless thing and take a ride in the countryside before I’d even recovered from my efforts of the other day. It hurt at first, but I forced myself to push through the pain, and once the adrenalin kicked in it was a lot easier. Until it wasn’t….
I’ve iced my knees and had a soothing hot bath and now I’m laying on the sofa. And Philippa has absolutely no sympathy whatsoever. And she’s absolutely right to be that way.
I’m a dick.
