Another advert has bothered me (honestly, I don't
know why I watch TV anymore). This one is all about using ChatGPT to organise
your holiday. All you have to do is type in 'plan a nice trip for me and my
sister' and let the sodding thing do the rest.
Is this really the best way to be adventurous and see the world? Seceding all
decision making to a sodding hard drive? And, like everything else which is
AI-driven, isn't it going to become increasingly narrow and repetitive? Won't
everyone end up going to the same places and seeing the same things?
We really are about a year away from becoming nothing but drones.
I have so much more to say about this but so little enthusiasm about typing it.
So I'm going to open a bottle of wine and do what I've been doing for months
now - trying to ignore the inevitable.
