Dear Youth of Today,
I fully support and admire your efforts to strike
from school and raise your voices over the climate change issue, but as you’re
the only ones who can deal with it and adapt to it, don’t you think it’s time
to stop moaning at us older folk and start preparing yourselves for what’s
coming? Yes, it’s our fault, but we can’t re-cork the bottle I’m afraid, no
matter how much you shout at us.
If you wake up and find your house on fire, there’s
no point admonishing your parents for smoking in bed, you need to be grabbing
what you can and preparing for a life full of ashes.
