Yesterday’s efforts and exertions caught up with me
today. I feel like I’ve been running on empty. If just one of those things I
faced yesterday cropped up today I think I’d have ended up crying. So did my
employers give me a bit of a break from the day-to-day traumas and trials? Did
they say ‘You were great yesterday, old stick, take it easy today, and know how
much you’re appreciated’?
No – they put me on a conference call with nine
other managers and asked me to talk about Christmas. They also insisted I
finish the work that I missed out on last week by them making me spend three
days in Berkshire. Gotta love ‘em.
