I thought you might not have had enough poetry from me for one week, so here’s some Fri-ku.
Wintry winds today
Colder than it’s been all week
November pains me
A whole weekend off
My wife and I shall snuggle
And plan for Christmas
I would like to buy
Suffolk’s biggest Christmas tree
And force it indoors
The best Christmas tale
Is “It’s A Wonderful Life”
Or “Christmas Carol”
My plan this evening
Was not for Christmas haiku
But it has happened
